A standard MAPS Backlot rental includes exclusive access to the venue for your reserved time, use of our indoor green room, two built-in bars, three restrooms, and our valid assembly license. You’ll also have access to our signature white cyc wall and the full open-air event space. Additional equipment, staffing, or rentals can be arranged through our preferred vendors or your own team.

No, the cement cyc wall is our “Mona Lisa” a signature piece we protect carefully. We don’t paint on it, bounce on it, or attach anything to it. However, we offer a white cyc wall that’s perfect for immersive art, projections, and branded environments.

Yes, vehicles can drive in for event or production displays. All access must be pre-approved by our Events Manager.

Yes! MAPS holds a valid assembly license, which means clients can book us at a moment’s notice without the need to pull additional permits—making your event planning faster and hassle-free.

Our standard rental includes 12 hours, covering setup, the event itself, and breakdown. Additional time can be arranged for an added fee.

Yes! We welcome multi-day and long-term rentals for pop-ups, installations, or extended production projects. Let us know what you’re planning, we’re happy to collaborate.

Unless specifically approved in your rental agreement, all items must be removed by the end of your rental period.

Yes, MAPS Backlot is an open-air venue, so we strongly recommend having a weather plan in place. We’re happy to work with you and your vendors to develop a suitable contingency strategy.

Yes. All music and amplified sound must follow the City of Miami’s noise regulations. Amplified sound is not allowed between 1:00 AM and 9:00 AM Monday through Wednesday, and between 3:00 AM and 9:00 AM Thursday through Sunday. Volume must stay below 80 decibels when measured 25 feet from the property line.

Yes! While we provide a curated list of trusted vendors through our MAPS Black Book, you’re welcome to bring in your own licensed and insured vendors. All outside vendors must be pre-approved and provide a Certificate of Insurance.

Yes, MAPS requires the use of our in-house security vendor. If you’d like to bring in additional licensed security, it must be pre-approved and provide all required documentation.

We provide a basic sound system compatible with iPhones, iPods, and iPads, perfect for background music. For live music, DJs, or advanced A/V needs, your team will need to bring in additional gear. Power is limited, and a generator may be required. We also offer a distribution box for rent, inquire with our Venue Manager.

Basic venue lighting is included (e.g. container bars, awnings, and trees). For evening events, additional event lighting is recommended and must be arranged by the client or their production team.

Yes, security and cleaning services are required for all events and are charged separately from the venue rental. These services will be included in your final quote.

No on-site parking is available, but metered street parking is nearby. Valet service can be arranged through our preferred provider.

Three total restrooms: 2 standard and 1 ADA-accessible. For events over 300 guests, we recommend renting additional trailer-style restrooms.

Smoking is allowed only in the main outdoor area. Ashtrays must be provided to avoid cleaning fees for cigarette waste.
